Explore Saint Lucia's historical capital city, walk Derek Walcott Square, and sit beneath the “Massav” tree – said to be over 400 years old. You’ll enter the sacred nineteenth-century Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception where famed local artist Dunstan St. Omer created stunning illustrations and altarpieces. The “Hill of Good Luck” sitting high atop the city, Morne Fortune offers sweeping views of Castries and beyond. Travelers can view the Government House at Fort Charlotte, a mid-nineteenth-century masterpiece and one of the island's’ most unique architectural pieces that houses the Saint Lucian head of state, the Governor General.
